Rev. Dr. Karen L. Holgersen earned an associate degree in sociology, a bachelor’s degree in biology, a master’s degree in school leadership, and a doctorate in educational leadership, management, and policy. Although trained to be a school system superintendent, she taught elementary students for thirty years. Along the way to retirement, she studied metaphysics, participated in a ministerial spiritual-based program, and was ordained as a minister in 2015. Holgersen lives in Texas.
